The Breakup

We died today.
The light that woke me
every day
no longer shines in your eyes.
The smile on your face
is replaced by a blank
no likes, no needs, no wants

The bubble has burst
the truth is out
aeons of dreams
shattered

You gather your things
leave your key on the bed
a sense of doom fills the air

No words spoken
No gazes shared
I stand in the doorway
and watch you go

Out of my embrace
Out of my home
Out of my life
but not out of my dreams

The coffee is cold
it sits on the table
as lonely as I

We died today.
you may live again
in another life.
I will remain a corpse
my love for you
stained on my weathered skin

Hehe thank you!

Hmm...should we be concerned about this maybe-emo mood?

lol awww, why, would u be concerned abt me if i said yes? :P

seriously tho, ur poems are really nice.. u write a lot about love and relationships tho, and for someone who says she's never been in one, they are quite earnest.. :)

i mean that in a good way btw.. lol...

lol it depends...would the maybe-emo mood affect the sexiness of the fingers? :D

As for the 'love and relationship' theme, I have a vivid imagination ;-) I'm glad you like them :-)

Hi,

Its a very interesting, nice poem. I hope your relationship status has changed now. And wish you will not have to go through a break up in actual life. Cuz it sucks! B I G time! A nice read. i just started reading your blog/s, hope everything will be as good as this one.

@Rain Drops - hiya, thanks for stopping by! Glad you like the poem :-) The only thing that's changed since this poem is that I haven't had much inspiration to write! Hehe
